On Monday 14th April 2008 W Bro Lewis Leyman celebrated 60 years in Masonry.
To mark the occasion W Bro Leyman was presented with a Certificate by W Bro Colin Turner Assistant Provincial Grand Master. Due to recent ill health W Bro Leyman has been unable to attend Lodge so the presentation took place at his home in Exeter; also present was the Worshipful Master of St John the Baptist Lodge No. 39 W. Bro. Maurice Jeffreys.
W. Bro. Leyman was initiated at the age of 21 years and 12 days into De La Pole Lodge No. 1181 on 14th April 1948 and in the same year became a joining member of St Margaret’s Lodge No. 6129. He was WM of St Margaret’s in 1968 and also served as DC, Treasurer and Secretary. He was MEZ of St John the Baptist Chapter No. 39 in 1990 and 1995. In 1995 he joined St John the Baptist Lodge No. 39.
W Bro Leyman holds the Provincial Grand Master’s Certificate of Service and the Grand Superintendent’s Certificate of Merit.
